Youth 5K

The Berkeley Half Marathon 5K Race is perfect for runners of all ages. With the approval of a legal guardian, all participants under the age of 12 can participate in our Youth 5K (same course) and take advantage of discounted registration and youth sized participant shirts.

Corrals

Start Location: Milvia St. at Kittredge St, Berkeley, California 94704

Runners will be assigned to a lettered start corral based on their Estimated Finish Time (EFT). The corral assignment will be printed on your bib number. Large flags will designate the corral entrances at the start line – please enter the corral at the flag that corresponds to your corral assignment.

All runners need to be in their corral at the start of the race – the start time for the 5K is 8:30am. As the race starts, corral monitors will bring your corral group forward to the Start Line to start the race. All participants with strollers must run in the last corral.

Corral time and locations are subject to change. 

Course Limits

All 5K participants are required to finish the race within 1 hour, a 19:21 minute/mile pace. The Finish Line will close promptly at 9:45 am. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers.

Water/Fuel Stops & Medical

The 5k course includes 1 water stop where you can find water, Nuun electrolyte drink, medical, and toilets. No water stops on this course have Chargel Energy Gel.
