Berkeley Half Marathon Race Weekend • Nov 13th – 15th, 2020

Over 9,000 runners will fill the streets of Berkeley for The Berkeley Half Marathon on November 15th, 2020. The Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon is more than just a race; it’s a fantastic celebration where people from all over the Bay and world come together, united by their dedication to running and the running community. Whether a runner comes in just for race day or makes a trip out of it with their loved ones, all are invited to partake in a weekend of festivities.

bhm-travel-hotelWhether you’re coming from across town or across the country, take advantage of our official hotel and travel options from hotels at the starting line to buses and parking.


bhm-packet-pickupThe Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon Packet Pickup will take place on Friday, November 16th from 11am to 7pm and Saturday, November 17th from 9am to 5pm at Sports Basement Berkeley. All participants are required to pick up their bib, timing chip and race shirt at Packet Pickup. Runners and spectators alike are invited to check out Packet Pickup.


Run our Half Marathon with one of our pace groups and achieve your race day goals. Our experienced Pacers will deliver you to the finish line on time! Any registered runner can join a pace group for free. Just look for your pacers in your wave corral (you’ll know them by their special race day gear and their sign with pace and EFT) and follow them.

The Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon encourages friends and family of runners and the Bay Area community to participate on Race Day. Your cheering and encouragement makes a meaningful impact on our runners on Race Day. From cheer locations to how to get to them, we hope the following information helps you prepare to cheer on your runner and our runner community.


bhm-volunteersThe Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon has more than 500 volunteer positions and opportunities for your group. From helping at our Race Weekend Expo to providing support along the course to aiding at our Start and Finish Lines, we’ll work with you or your organization to find an opportunity that fits.


Participating in a Race Challenge makes running a race that much better. If you are taking on a Challenge and will be pursuing completing it at the Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon, please read the instructions on how to pick up your award on your Challenge page.


Medical Information and Support Locations

Medical Support is available at the Start/Finish Line of the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, and along the course.

Over 50 certified medical volunteers will be on hand at 7 Aid Stations along the course. Medical support will also be available at all finish lines. All treatment is provided by licensed professionals. Volunteers with medical training will assist with basic first aid care and recording.
