Take to the streets and race through Berkeley this fall! It’s like a big city marathon with a small town feel.

Our scenic course, comfortable for runners of all levels, takes you down historic Telegraph Avenue, through Cal Berkeley’s iconic Sather Gate and around the beautiful Cal campus.

From beautiful North Berkeley and the vibrant Fourth Street district you’ll run along the waterfront and enjoy the view of the bay on your way to the finish line, with the community and your fellow runners cheering you on!

    Half Marathon Details

  • Corrals
    Start Location: Milvia St. at Kittredge St, Berkeley, CA 94704

    Sunday, November 17th, 2019

    Runners will be assigned to a lettered start corral based on their Estimated Finish Time (EFT). The corral assignment will be printed on your bib number. Large flags will designate the corral entrances at the start line – please enter the corral at the flag that corresponds to your corral assignment.

    All runners need to be in their corral at the start of the race – the start time for the half marathon is 7:30am. As the race starts, corral monitors will bring your corral group forward to the Start Line to start the race.

  • Course Limits
    All Half Marathon participants are required to finish the race within 4 hours, an 18:20 minute/mile pace. The Finish Line will close promptly at 12:00 pm. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers.
  • Water Stops
    There are 7 water stops along the Half Marathon course, and Water Stop 3 has GU.
  • Elevation

  • Amenities
    All participants receive a technical fabric long-sleeved shirt. Finishers receive a finisher’s medal, free photos, electronic finisher’s certificate, and individual care, both on and off the course and following – including food, beverage, heat sheet and medical care.

  • Awards and Scoring
    Awards will be given to the top three overall women and top three overall men in the Half Marathon. Age group awards will be given to the top three females and top three males in the Half Marathon in each age division. Top 3 overall winners will be removed from age group awards (no double dipping). Age group awards will be mailed after the event.
  • Divisions
    Half Marathon, 5K and 10K awards will be given to the top three finishers in the following age divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
