Getting to the Start Line
BART BUSING
BART doesn’t run early enough to get runners to the Berkeley Half Marathon Main Start Line on time, but don’t fret! The Berkeley Half Marathon offers early morning bus service from five Bay Area BART stations, so runners can forget the hassle of driving and focus on the race.
Buses transport runners from the following BART stations to our Start Line at the following times on Race Morning:
- Fremont at 5:25 am
- Civic Center at 5:40 am (Buses pick up on Grove at Market St.).
- Walnut Creek at 5:45 am
- El Cerrito Plaza at 6:10 am
- MacArthur at 6:10 am
Free parking is available at each location. BART will be running normally after the race, so you may buy a BART ticket after the race, hop on, and head home. The BART Bus ticket does not include return BART ticket fare.
You must purchase your spot in advance. On race morning, you will not need a ticket to board the BART bus because your name will be on the list for bus loading.
