New Challenge Series in 2015
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot to offer a new 2015 race challenge: the Berkeley 2 Silicon Valley Challenge (because, we know you love running in the Bay Area, and you are always looking for your next race, and you love following up a race with a hard-earned meal).
This two-race challenge series stretches over just five days leading up to Thanksgiving. Runners can complete the challenge by racing any distance (5K, 10K, relay or half marathon) at The Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon on November 22nd, then any distance (5K or 10K) at the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26th. Visit the challenge page for full details.
In its eleventh year, the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot has a rich history of being a great community event that’s charitably aligned, having raised more than five million dollars for local, Bay Area charities over the event’s lifetime. Each Thanksgiving Day, more than 26,000 runners flood the streets of Silicon Valley racing 5K and 10K distances, as well as taking part in a “Fun Run” event for families and a spirited Costume Competition.
With the launch of this challenge, we’re helping you head into the holidays on the right foot – with two finish lines behind you! Are you ready to step up to the challenge?
