Two Beautiful Cities On The Bay (Plus ALL The Medals)
Editor’s note: this blog post has been adjusted to reflect the most recent event names and dates.
“I think of Berkeley as a mini-San Francisco. I just love the Bay Area,” says Mike Dasalla, Race Ambassador.
This is why Mike decided to run both the San Francisco Marathon and the Berkeley Half Marathon this year—he wants to enjoy both of these beautiful cities on the Bay.
He’s also looking forward to getting his SF/Berkeley Challenge medal in November after he runs the Berkeley Half Marathon.
“I love getting ALL the medals…” Mike admits.
And by running the San Francisco Marathon and then the Berkeley Half Marathon back-to-back, Mike will be eligible for an extra medal, the SF/Berkeley Challenge medal.
If you participated in any race during the San Francisco Marathon in July and then you also participate in any race during the Berkeley Half Marathon in November, you can get that extra medal too, just like Mike will (in case you also love getting ALL the medals).
Or, register now for BOTH the Berkeley Half Marathon this November and the 2025 San Francisco Marathon, and you can complete the challenge at the end of your San Francisco race next July.
If you love running in the San Francisco Marathon, you’ll also love the Berkeley Half Marathon.
Berkeley is smaller and more quaint than San Francisco. You’ll enjoy running through the cute downtown streets and get a new experience by running through the historic Cal Berkeley campus.
Run through the local neighborhoods and enjoy local residents cheering you on from their front porches or offering refreshments along the way.
And, you’ll love the waterfront run right along the Bay with an out and back where you can also wave to your fellow runners going the opposite direction.
The spirit, community support, and local vibe in Berkeley are not to be missed this November in the Berkeley Half Marathon, especially if you ran in the San Francisco Marathon in July.
Enjoy running in two beautiful cities on the Bay AND get some extra bling when you run both the Berkeley Half Marathon and the San Francisco Marathon consecutively.
Got something to say?
