Run Sure Refunds

For a limited time only, participants can opt-in to “Run Sure Refunds,” which permits you to request a refund of your initial race registration purchase* if you cannot attend the race for any circumstance. This option can only be added at the time of original race registration as an add-on; it cannot be purchased post-registration. 

  • What is Run Sure Refunds?
    • Participants must opt in during their initial race registration by purchasing the “Run Sure Refunds” add-on; Run Sure Refunds cannot be added post-registration.
    • Refunds are approved-no questions asked-at 100%* through March 31st, 2025.
    • Refunds are approved-no questions asked-at 50%* through August 15th, 2025.
    • Deferral fees are waived through October 15th, 2025.
    • Virtual conversions and event-change fees are waived through November 1st, 2025.
  • What is included in my refund?
    Covered 100%* through July 15th, 2025 or 50%* through August 15th, 2025:

    • Initial race registration fee
    • All applicable BART tickets
    • All applicable VIP tickets

    Items not eligible for a refund include, but are not limited to:

    • Any and all processing fees
    • “Run Sure Refund” add-on fee
    • Any previously-shipped items (apparel, merchandise, etc)
    • Any items added after the time of the original registration (including BART or VIP tickets)
    • Race kit delivery fee
    • Virtual registrations
    • Training programs

    *100% and 50% refunds are less any discounts added to your original cart.

  • Where and when will I receive my refund?

    Once approved, the refund will be issued directly to the method of purchase you used during your initial registration. 

    Refunds are processed in the order they are received; please allow 4-6 weeks for your refund to be processed.

  • When can I request a refund?

    The refund request can be initiated any time from the date of your initial race registration purchase through August 15th, 2025. 

  • How do I apply for a refund?

    Email your Run Sure Refunds requests to customersupport@berkeleyhalfmarathon.com. Please include your order number and/or your registration ID (both included in your registration confirmation email), as well as your reason for the request. BHM will consider multiple requests for eligible purchases but reserves the right to refuse additional requests if BHM suspects abuse of Run Sure Refunds.

  • How long will it take to process my request?

    Run Sure Refunds requests are reviewed in the order they are received; please allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing and/or approval.

  • What if the event is cancelled by BHM or a government entity?

    Race cancellations, by either BHM and/or a government agency, due to health-related circumstances, air quality from fires, or natural disasters, are subject to Run Sure Refunds terms and conditions.
