  • How do I know if I am registered?
    You can confirm your registration HERE.
  • Can I change my race distance?

    Event changes can be made remotely until January 15th.  Once completed, you will receive an email confirmation showing your new event and registration details. Please note there is a $10.00 event change fee and there are no refunds for downgrading.   Upgrades are based on the price difference in the events.  To downgrade your event please click here.

  • How do I update my estimated finish time?
    Changes can be made to your EFT remotely until Jan 15, 2022. Please send us an email at customersupport@berkeleyhalfmarathon.com with what you would like your estimated finish time to be.

  • Can I change my starting corral?
    Corrals are assigned based on your Estimated Finish time will be sent out via email with your bib confirmation email. If your training has gone better than expected and you would like to move up to a faster corral, please pick up your bib at packet pickup and then proceed to the Solutions table to request a corral change. If you want to start in a slower corral, you do not need to come to the solutions table, just start in the corral you wish. Please note that moving up to a faster corral is based on availability.

Bibs

  • How do I find my bib number?
    Bib numbers are assigned and sent out via email in early February.
  • How do I get my Race Bib?
    All race participants who did not select to have their packets mailed to them during registration are required to pick up their bib, timing chip, and race shirt at packet pick up. Please note that Bibs will not be available on race day.

Course Time Requirements

  • What is the course limit for the Half Marathon?
    All Half Marathon participants are required to finish the race within 4 hours or an 18:20 minute/mile pace. The Finish Line will close promptly at 11:45 am. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers. If anywhere along the course you fall behind that pace time, there is a chance that water stops and aid stations may have shut down as we are required to open streets back up based on that closure. If you do not finish under the course limit, we can not guarantee you a medal or official finisher’s time.
  • What is the course limit for the 10K?
    All 10K participants are required to finish the race within 2 hour or a 19:19 minute/mile pace. If anywhere along the course you fall behind that pace time there is a chance that water stops and aid stations may have shut down as we are required to open streets back up based on that closure. If you do not finish under the course limit, we can not guarantee you a medal or official finisher’s time. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers.
  • What is the course limit for the 5K?
    All 5K participants are required to finish the race within 1 hour or a 19:21 minute/mile pace. The Finish Line will close promptly at 9:45 am. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers. Course Rules

  • Are music players, phones, GPS trackers or other personal electronics allowed on the course?
    Yes, personal electronics like music players and GPS trackers are allowed on the course. Please be aware of traffic around you when running.
  • Are strollers allowed on the course?
    Runners with strollers are permitted on the 5K course only and are required to start in the last corral for safety reasons. Strollers are not permitted on the Half Marathon or 10K courses.

    Registrants intending to run the 5K with a stroller should check the box marked “Stroller Division” during registration. Children in strollers are not required to be registered, but will not receive a shirt or medal

  • Are walkers allowed on the course?
    Yes, walkers are permitted on all of the courses and will be asked to line up in the last starting corral for safety purposes.

Race Photos & Results

  • Where can I find the photos taken during the race?
    Marathon Photos race photographers will be on the course to capture photos of every runner. Each runner will receive one free photo, others can be purchased. We will send an email confirmation when the photos are ready. You can also access past race results and photos here.
  • How are race times tracked?
    The race is timed using ChronoTrack tag technology. Your tag is on the back of your bib, please do not remove it!
    Unofficial results will be posted in the Finish Line Festival Area and on the Results page on this website thirty minutes after the first runner crosses the finish line. Friends and family can check the website for up-to-the-minute race results.
    Any change requests regarding the unofficial results must be submitted via email to RCcorrections@rccal.com within three days after the race. Failure to contact us within three days may result in your times not being listed in our web results.

Gear Check

  • Where should I store my stuff on race day?
    Check your gear at Allston way just across from the High School. Gear Check will be available starting at 6:30am. Participants who are checking gear must use the bag provided at the expo. All bags MUST be clearly written with your bib number on the bag. Please write your bib number legibly on the bag and drop it off securely tied. Berkeley Half Marathon is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. Do not place any valuable (like wallets, phones and keys) or heavy items in your gear bag. We also recommend that you do not over stuff your bag. Baggage claim will be open until 1:00 pm.
    Any clothing discarded at the start line will be donated to a local organization.
  • What do I do if I lose something on race day?
    Any items found on the course will be brought to the info booth at the Finish Line Festival. Please see an info booth volunteer if you have lost or found an item. All clothing not claimed at the end of race day will be donated to charity. For information on lost and found items, please contact us at customersupport@berkeleyhalfmarathon.com.
  • What if I forgot to pick up my gear bag after the race?
    Please email us at customersupport@berkeleyhalfmarathon.com within 7 days of the race to request a bag return. There will be a $15 shipping fee and all unclaimed bags will be donated to charity after 14 days. .
