Pre-Race Busing: Buses from Martin Luther King Jr. Way at Center St. near the Main Start Line to 10K Start Line are available free for runners from 7:30AM and 8:15AM

Course Certification: The 10K course is USATF certified

Race Distance: 10 Kilometers / 6.2 Miles

Back by popular demand, our 10K Race is the perfect option for runners who seek a rewarding, beautiful, and fun race distance. This course tours Berkeley’s vibrant Fourth Street District, followed by a picturesque waterfront stretch along the San Francisco Bay near the Berkeley Marina. 10K runners celebrate at the Main Finish Line in an exhilarating community running festival.

10K Race Details

  • Corrals

    Start Location: 2018 Course Start Line Details Coming Soon

    Sunday, November 18th, 2018

    Runners will be assigned to a lettered start corral based on their Estimated Finish Time (EFT). The corral assignment will be printed on your bib number. Large flags will designate the corral entrances at the start line – please enter the corral at the flag that corresponds to your corral assignment.

    All runners need to be in their corral at the start of the race – the start time for the 10K is 8:30am. As the race starts, corral monitors will bring your corral group forward to the Start Line to start the race.

    Corral time and locations are subject to change.

  • 10K Runner Shuttles
    Pre-race buses from Martin Luther King Jr. Way at Center St. near the Main Start Line to 10K Start Line are available free for runners from 7:30 am and 8:15 am.

    There are no runner shuttles available after the race to take 10K runners back to the 10K Start Line. Please plan accordingly.

  • Course Limits
    All 10K participants are required to finish the race within 2 hour, a 19:19 minute/mile pace. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers.
  • Water Stops
    There are 4 water stops along the 10K course.
  • Elevation

  • Amenities
    All participants receive a technical fabric long-sleeved shirt. Finishers receive a finisher’s medal, free photos, electronic finisher’s certificate, and individual care, both on and off the course and following – including food, beverage, heat sheet and medical care.

  • Awards and Scoring
    Awards will be given to the top three overall women and top three overall men in the 10K. Age group awards will be given to the top three females and top three males in the 10K in each age division. Top 3 overall winners will be removed from age group awards (no double dipping). Age group awards will be mailed after the event.
  • Divisions
    Half Marathon, 5K and 10K awards will be given to the top three finishers in the following age divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
